Do you deliver?
No, we do not offer delivery. For custom work, your piece(s) must be dropped off at our location in Loomis, California. Purchased pieces and finished custom work must be picked up from the same location. Shipping out of state is available upon inquiry.
Do you work at my house/onsite?
No, we complete all work here at the Born in a Barn workshop. We do not work onsite and furniture must be delivered to us at our workshop.
Do you refinish cabinets?
No, we do not refinish cabinets as it would require working onsite.
Do you put items on hold for customers?
We will hold items! We require payment of the total price in order to hold an item. We will hold your item(s) for up to three (3) days while you arrange for pickup.
I have furniture I no longer want. Do you buy?
Depending on the piece and its condition! You can use our request a quote form to share photos of your piece and your ideal sell price or send us an email with the same information.
Are your prices negotiable?
No, we will not negotiate on our pricing. At Born in a Barn Boutique, not only do we stand behind our work, but also our fair and competitive prices. Therefore, our price points are non-negotiable.
What forms of payment do you take?
For furniture pick-ups, we accept cash, PayPal, Venmo, and credit cards. In the online shop, we accept credit cards and PayPal. We do not accept personal checks.
Can you paint my old piece of furniture?
Absolutely! We would love to bring new life to your old furniture. Simply visit our page Custom Refinishing for more information, then fill out the Price Request form at the bottom of the page. We will respond within 48 hours with your custom price quote and schedule a time for you to deliver your item to us here in Loomis, CA. Please note—we will only work on original or manufacturer-finished pieces. No previously painted furniture.
What kind of paint do you use?
We use high-quality, water-based acrylic specialty furniture paint. When it comes time to pick your color, we have paint swatches here for you to look through and select your color!
How do customizable furniture pieces work?
Pick the piece that you would like from the available inventory on our Shop page. In the notes for your order, let us know what you would like to have done (paint, paint and stain, or custom finish—wax, glaze, etc.) Not sure? We can help! Once you place your order, we will respond with a price quote and the next steps. We require a 50% deposit upfront and the remaining 50% at pickup. Our turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks.
At Born in a Barn Boutique, we want to give our customers the most enjoyable shopping experience that will keep them coming back time and time again. All sales are final. No returns or exchanges.
We stand behind our work. Each piece leaves here in the most perfect condition possible, achieved through quality craftsmanship. We cannot control the circumstances after a piece leaves our shop. We do provide touch up paint with every piece and guarantee all pieces will leave our shop in tip-top shape. If something happens during transport to your space, we are more than happy to offer advice on how best to fix the piece.
When your piece is ready for pick-up, we appreciate you coordinating your pick-up within 72 hours with us to avoid any additional storage fees. If it is not convenient to pick up right away, we understand and will store the for you for an additional $5.00 per day.
What type of information do we collect?
We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

Can you withdraw your consent?
