  • Do you deliver?
    No, we do not offer delivery. For custom work, your piece(s) must be dropped off at our location in Loomis, California. Purchased pieces and finished custom work must be picked up from the same location. Shipping out of state is available upon inquiry.
  • What types of furniture do you refinish?
    We will refinish most furniture items! We work primarily on dressers, end tables, and buffets. The only furniture items we do NOT work on are kitchen cabinets (because they require working onsite), dining table sets, and pianos. Also keep in mind, we are not able to replace or repair glass.
  • Can you put something on hold for me?
    We will hold items! We require payment of the total price in order to hold an item. We will hold your item(s) for up to three (3) days while you arrange for pickup.
  • I have furniture I no longer want. Do you buy?
    Depending on the piece and its condition, possibly! Send us an email through the contact page or borninabarnboutique1@gmail.com and include: - 1-3 photos of the piece - Your ideal asking price
  • Are your prices negotiable?
    No, our pricing is non-negotiable. At Born in a Barn Boutique, we price our pieces fairly and appropriately for the quality of work, time, and materials that went into the finished product (and we encourage other furniture refinishers to do the same!).
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    For furniture pick-ups—we accept cash, PayPal, Venmo, and credit cards. Online, we accept credit cards and PayPal. We do not accept personal checks.
  • Can you paint my old piece of furniture?
    Absolutely! We would love to bring new life to your old furniture. Simply visit our Shop Furniture page for more information, then fill out the Quote Request form at the bottom of the page. We will respond within 48 hours with your custom price quote and schedule a time for you to deliver your item to us here in Loomis, CA. Please note—we will only work on original or manufacturer-finished pieces. No previously painted furniture.
  • What kind of paint do you use?
    We use high-quality, water-based acrylic specialty furniture paint. When it comes time to pick your color, we have paint swatches here for you to look through and select your color or you can browse our Inspiration Gallery!
  • How do customizable furniture pieces work?
    Pick the piece that you would like from the available inventory on our Shop page. In the notes for your order, let us know what you would like to have done (paint, paint and stain, or custom finish—wax, glaze, etc.) Not sure? We can help! Once you place your order, we will respond with a price quote and the next steps. We require a 50% deposit upfront and the remaining 50% at pickup. Our turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks.
